Gabriela Vainsencher is an internationally-exhibiting artist, lecturer, and curator with over 10 years of experience leading groups of experts and novices alike through New York City’s contemporary art scene. She was born in Buenos Aires and raised in Tel Aviv, and has been based in New York for the past 15 years.

My recent porcelain pieces all get started as drawings on wet clay. Got fingers on the brain.

This porcelain piece is titled “Has The Meaning of Fingers Changed?” It’s the first in a series I started making with the outbreak of covid. I miss hands.
